The Burrowers: Western horror movie review

A group of explorers are confronted with a powerful and evil force when they go searching for a family of settlers in the 1870s Dakota.

The Burrowers is a 2008 Western horror film written and directed by J.T. Petty. The film is based on an original short film, Blood Red Earth, also directed by Petty. The year is 1879, and a rescue party sets out to find a family of settlers that has vanished without a trace. The party is led by experienced Indian fighters Will Parcher and John Clay, and they are joined by a naive teenager hoping to prove himself a man, and an ex-slave looking for a new start.

The group soon discovers that the settlers have been kidnapped by a group of creatures that live underground. These creatures are known as the Burrowers, and they are powerful and evil. The explorers must fight for their lives as they try to rescue the settlers and escape from the Burrowers' lair.

The Burrowers is a well-made horror film with a strong cast and a suspenseful plot. The film's atmosphere is creepy and unsettling, and the Burrowers themselves are truly terrifying. Fans of horror movies will definitely want to check out The Burrowers.
